New Bandag Dealer in Austria: Edler Reifen GmbH

Austria’s largest tyre retreading company, Edler Reifen GmbH & Co KG of Bruck an der Mur, has been the new Bandag franchisee since the beginning of July. Founded in 1929, the company manufactures retreaded tyres for commercial vehicles and earth-moving machinery at its Kapfenberg production plant on the basis of latest state of the art technology.

New state of the art Bandag retread factory opened in Hungary

On April 14th, the new Bandag franchise dealership 5-Let Ltd. in Mezőszilas, Hungary, opened doors of their new retread factory. This € 2 million project features the latest Bandag retread technology.

New Bandag on/off road BDM1 and BRM1 treads

Bridgestone Europe has upgraded the Bandag tread range with the launch of Bandag Drive Mixed service (BDM1) with powerful traction and Bandag Rib Mixed service (BRM1) for all-position on/off road versatility. Both new treads deliver a lower cost/km and up to 15% higher mileage than their predecessors and have been extensively tested on the job with fleets.

Bridgestone M749 Ecopia now available as retread

Bridgestone has introduced its first Ecopia truck tyre retread, the M749 Ecopia highway drive pattern. From January 2011, it is available throughout the Bandag dealer network in Europe.

M729 and R168 patterns now available as Bridgestone Retreads

As from January 2011, the Qualitread M729 drive tread and R168 trailer tread have both been re-branded under the Bridgestone Retread name in Europe. From April 2011, the Qualitread M729 EVO will also join the Bridgestone Retread line-up.

Bridgestone launches low-rolling-resistance Ecopia truck tyres

Applying new eco-friendly compound technologies to truck tyres for the first time in Europe, Bridgestone has introduced a range of Ecopia truck tyres. Ecopia truck tyres run with lower rolling resistance than Bridgestone’s standard patterns, thereby reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The added value for operators is that this has been achieved without sacrificing Bridgestone’s high performance levels of durability, irregular wear and wet safety.

Bandag to expand under Bridgestone ownership

Bridgestone Corporation purchased Bandag, the world’s leading retread brand, in 2006 with European operations passing to Bridgestone Europe in 2008. Since then, all Bandag core operations have been fully integrated in the Bridgestone Europe organisation, with sales and field staff integrated in Bridgestone national sales companies.

Bridgestone on/off-road range now available as Bandag retreads

Bridgestone announces the launch of a Bandag tread range that corresponds exactly to Bridgestone’s premium on/off-road tyres, offering sensational investment protection to fleets in wear-intensive transport applications. The three new Bandag on/off-road designs are intended for drive axle, trailer and all-position use respectively.
